I had two of the sweetest little helpers. It was 6AM- I couldn't sleep & neither could they. We brought the soil and the seeds and the planters inside. We made a mess-but it was fun. Tiny finger prints pressed into the soil- those flowers will grow now...I just know it. It’s Easter weekend and my New York cousins and their kiddos are here, staying with us- I love when they stay with us. I love waking up hearing two little voices in the other room- talking to each other, giggling like best friends. I don’t see them often enough, but when I do I never want them to leave. Henry and Julia- brother and sister, partners in crime, an inseparable pair. This morning hearing them in the other room reminded me of when I was a little girl- sharing a room with my brother. We had bunk beds, we chatted, we giggled, we were best friends- just like them. I remember when we moved into our new house. It took me a long time to get used to sleeping in my own bedroom. Even though he was right across the hall, I missed him. Looking back it’s those things- those memories, that I cherish most. Like little snap shots of time that can only be shared and understood by a sibling.
