Baby Love

We dug ourselves out- made a few phone calls- threw an extra log on the fire and had a baby shower. Nemo or Charlotte, or whatever they're calling you these days- don't cha ever try an' pull that blizzard nonsense an' ruin our plans ever again- cause if you do, you will lose- again. 

Turns out that despite the storm we had a lovely little shower, for a sweet mamma-to-be, with enough baby love to go around- (even if it was a day late)! Wait a second... isn't that how this whole thing started...?!

A girl can dream....

A miracle- life's greatest one if you ask me. One that although I am studying to be a nurse I still can't quite wrap my head around. One that is so amazing- if you didn't believe before- now you do. The birth of a baby. The birth of a healthy little human with ten fingers, ten toes, perfect little lips and a chin just like his daddy. The birth of a child whose eyes hide nothing- he's his momma boy through and through. They say your life will be forever changed and they say that- because it's true. The joy that overwhelms you- the relief that you feel when you hold that healthy little bundle for the first time. After nine months of waiting- there is nothing quite like it. Harrison Warren Skinner- you will grow up the luckiest boy in town- you have the very best parents and an auntie who loves you so. Our family has been blessed- and it's because we have you.
