I also have three brothers. Everett- the oldest and wisest, the engineer. Chris- the second to oldest, the one I can talk to and laugh with, the one who understands me the best. Then Warren, closest to me in age, my partner in crime, a real cowboy, the one that passed away at 17.
I was a sophomore in high school and he was a senior, and in the blink of an eye he was gone. I was with him- it was 7:13 on a Wednesday morning. The truck was unrecognizable. There was a reason I survived- and like I said, I would not change a thing. Although I don’t understand why he had to be taken so soon, I do know that God does not make mistakes. It will be seven years in October- seven years is a long time.
Warren’s death has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through- those of you who have lost a loved one can relate. It hits close to home, closer than any other trial I have gone through. I am a stronger person because of this, my family is stronger, our relationships are stronger and because of this we will never take each other for granted.
